Priority Strategic Goals
 
ENGAGE, CONNECT, AND ADVANCE the business of our members.

GROW OUR MEMBERSHIP through targeted industry promotion, personal connections; and niche market promotion. 

EXPAND THE REFERRAL CULTURE through expansion of our Referral Institute program; welcome reception format and Leads Clubs training.

ENHANCE SMALL BUSINESS ASSISTANCE through our Small Business Council to include identifying issues, advocating on their behalf, personal connections, mentoring and educational forums.

CLOSING THE GAP on financial sustainability through event timing and sponsorship evaluation, potential dues increase with additional value-added benefits; evaluation of the benefits of a Foundation, dollars raised through Partners In Progress; and tourism contract.

Engage Your Business...
1. Our Goal is to provide opportunities for our members to positively impact the community and support Chamber activities by engaging their business through various levels of involvement.  
  • Provide scholarships to GPS and HPS high school scholars students as well as raise money for Chamber programs at annual golf tournament.
  • Develop leaders of the future to give back through community service.
  • Engage members to raise funds for the Boys & Girls Club.
  • Partner members with non-profits to raise awareness for both
2. Our goal is to Grow our Membership through targeted industry promotion, personal connections, and niche market promotion.
  • Develop a three phase “Partners In Progress” program that will result in a long-term business retention program
  • Publish an executive housing/recruitment publication to assist businesses recruit key personnel and promote living/working in Gilbert 
  • Advance our tourism activity by enhancing value to better promote this industry.
  • The Chamber will serve as the catalyst for the medical industry’s engagement with the community.
  • Grow our Leads Clubs to provide additional referrals for members.
  • Increase strength of Chamber’s advocacy by growing membership numbers
  • Increase marketing/visibility of Chamber

Connect Your Business...
1. Our goal is to expand the referral culture within the Chamber through expansion of our Referral Institute program, including Leads Club Training.
  • Increase number of Referral Institute programs planned
  • Schedule one-time Leads Clubs training for current members of Leads Clubs; schedule other training as new clubs are added
  • Implement Referral exercise into the Welcome Reception format
  • Introduce referral culture to individual Leads Clubs
  • Integrate referral tip of the month into communications with members
  • Communicate value of referral program to encourage more attendance and practice
2. Our goal is to provide personal connections with our members throughout the year to receive valuable feedback on issues, invite them to engage in our activities, and grow our membership through a strong retention program.
  • Focus on non-active members to ensure they feel welcome; their voice is heard and they feel connected with the Chamber even if they can’t leave their business.
  • Engage our members in discussions regarding issues that impact their businesses as well as identify opportunities to assist them.
  • Individually promote members through various media opportunities.
Advance Your Business...
1. Our goal is to enhance the small business assistance we currently provide through our Small Business Council which will include identifying issues, advocating on their behalf, mentoring and educational forums.
  • Enhance and market services provided by the Small Business Council to identify needs and programs to assist members.
  • Continue and grow the Business Links partnership with the Town of Gilbert
  • Save members money while assisting with safety in the workplace issues.
  • By connecting our members to elected officials, we will further the cause of enhancing the business environment for growth and expansion.
  • Serve as the business advocate for the business community and individual business members
Closing the Gap...
1. Our goal is to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization through fundraising events that will allow us to provide excellent programs and services for our members, maintain a professional staff, investing in leading edge technology to help us help our members while keeping membership dues affordable.
  • Ensure timing, sponsorship levels, and costs meet the needs of our members.
  • Celebrate excellence throughout the community with Gilbert Community Excellence Awards
  • Connect our members with Celebrities while raising money for local charities
  • Promote dynamic luncheon series that will feature high level speakers, attract attendance and provide meaningful information
  • Showcase an event to emphasize health in the workplace
  • Serve as manager of EV Business Expo
