Gilbert Chamber Hosts Budget Luncheon for Members, Residents

GILBERT – Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett will visit Gilbert on Wednesday, May 19th and will provide an inside look at the state’s budget crisis at the Chamber’s monthly luncheon, sponsored by Southwest Gas Corporation.

“Secretary Bennett uses an interactive approach to his presentation that really allows the audience to see the many components of the decisions that lead us to where we are today,” said Kathy Tilque, president and CEO of the Gilbert Chamber. “By understanding the past, we can make a more informed decision about our future.”

According to Tilque, Bennett’s visit comes at an important time for business owners.

“By the time of his presentation, we can expect to know the results of Proposition 406. I think Secretary Bennett will be able to shed light on what the results mean for Arizona residents and what impact local businesses can expect, both immediately and in months to come,” Tilque said.

Secretary of State Ken Bennett will present at the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce’s Gilbert NOW…Network at Noon Luncheon on Wednesday, May 19th from 11:15 AM to 1:00 PM at the Southeast Regional Library, 775 N. Greenfield Rd., in Gilbert. General admission is $25; chamber member admission is $15 with pre-registration or $20 at the door.
