Each year the Gilbert Leadership program challenges its current class with creating and completing a project that makes an impact in the community. The class, comprised of business and community leaders, works together to organize, fundraise and complete the project.

This year's class was inspired by the dedication and efforts of the K-9 units with the Town of Gilbert's fire and public safety departments. Through this inspiration, Class XXV organized efforts to enhance the somewhat unknown dog park located on the southeast area of Crossroads Park.

Through community donations and fundraising, Class XXV will be planting new trees along the park's edge and adding decorative and fun retired fire hydrants inside the park. The class will also install a creative dog bone-shaped bench featuring a mural painted by the class members.

We invite everyone in the community to come out and join us for this fun celebration.
