Event to Feature Local Art, Entertainment, and Restaurants

GILBERT – The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce and Southwest Ambulance will present The Art A’Fare on February 24th and will fuse networking with art and entertainment in a format much different from previous years.

“We wanted to update the event to allow guests the opportunity for more interaction with one another,” said Kathy Tilque, president and CEO of the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce. “The event is known for its entertainment and food and we aren’t losing any of those important elements, we are just turning the experience up a notch.”

In year’s past, the event has featured a formal dinner served by local celebrities and elected officials. This year, according to Tilque, the evening will allow for a more casual atmosphere with various food stations featuring fare from B.R.I.O. Tuscan Grille, California Pizza Kitchen, Charleston’s Restaurant, Flancer’s, Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, and other restaurants.

The evening will be held ART Intersection, located in Gilbert’s Heritage District, and will feature artwork from local and national artists as well as that of students attending Gilbert Public Schools, Higley Unified School District, and Chandler-Gilbert Community College. Silent auction and raffle items have been provided by Allegiant, the Arizona Diamondbacks, Casino Arizona, the Phoenix Symphony, Southwest Airlines, Vine Expressions and others.

The Art A’Fare will be held on Friday, February 24th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at ART Intersection, 207 N. Gilbert Road, Ste. 201, in Gilbert.
