GILBERT CHAMBER SEEKING NOMINATIONS FOR COMMUNITY AWARDS

Annual Event Honors Outstanding Businesses and Community Members
GILBERT – The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations of outstanding businesses and community leaders for recognition at the Seventeenth Annual Gilbert Community Excellence Awards, a dinner and award ceremony to be held on Friday, November 2nd.
Sponsored by APS, the Gilbert Community Excellence Awards is a collaborative event in partnership with Gilbert Public Schools, Higley Unified School District, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, the Town of Gilbert, the Gilbert Republic, and the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce.
Nominations will be accepted through August 31st for the following categories:
Gilbert Public Schools Education Awards: Educator, Support Staff, and Volunteer
Higley Unified School District Education Awards: Educator, Support Staff, and Volunteer
Chandler-Gilbert Community College Awards: Educator, and Employee
Nominations will be accepted through September 21st for the following categories:
Municipal Awards: Municipal Volunteer, Outstanding Neighborhood, and Public Service
Community Awards: Beautification, Gilbert Young Hero, and Geneva Clay Community Volunteer
Chamber Business Awards: Leon Uhlhorn Visionary Awards, sponsored by Gilbert Insurance Group
In commemoration of the State of Arizona’s centennial celebration, the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce will present a series of awards to honor individuals who have significantly influenced and helped to shape the Town of Gilbert. The ‘Leon Uhlhorn Visionary Awards’ will recognize these leaders for their vision, commitment and follow-through as they made and implemented decision that forever impacted the town’s development.
