GILBERT CHAMBER NAMES PAM NENABER OF BANNER GATEWAY, MD ANDERSON AS 2011 BUSINESS WOMAN OF THE YEAR

Award Ceremony and Luncheon Honored 13 Nominees, Presented by San Tan Learning Center
GILBERT – The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce has named Pam Nenaber, CEO of Banner Gateway Medical Center and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, as the 2011 Business Woman of the Year at an award ceremony and luncheon held today.
“Pam is a strong proponent for community involvement and encourages her staff to become engaged in their communities,” said JW Rayhons, Chairman of the Board of the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce and owner of Rayhons Financial Solutions in Gilbert.
Under Nenaber’s leadership, Banner Gateway Medical Center was named the highest performing Banner Health hospital in 2010 and 2011 and was honored with Banner’s ‘Best of the Best’ award, according to Rayhons.
Nenaber currently serves on the Gilbert Chamber’s Board of Directors and is a recent graduate of Gilbert Leadership. She has served as president of the Seton Catholic High School advisory board and as a board member for the Child Crisis Center. She is involved in the professional organizations of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Health Administrators Forum, and Women in Healthcare.
“I’ve worked alongside Pam on several occasions and can tell you she is a leader on all accounts,” said Kathy Tilque, president and CEO of the Gilbert Chamber. “I’m thrilled to see her honored on behalf of the Chamber.”
The Business Woman of the Year is organized by the Chamber’s What Women Want…In Business event committee. Nominations are submitted to the committee’s review panel for scoring and selection.
