Gilbert Chamber Endorses Doug Ducey for Governor

PHOENIX – The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce today announced their endorsement of Doug Ducey for Governor, citing Governor Ducey's strong record of adding good jobs and making new investments in education.

“Governor Ducey is a valued partner in our efforts to recruit businesses and add new jobs in Gilbert,” said Kathy Tilque, President and CEO of the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce. “As a former business leader, he knows what it takes to build an environment where businesses can grow and employees can thrive. Recent successes like Isagenix, Silent-Aire, Deloitte, Morgan Stanley and many others are proof that Governor Ducey’s pro-jobs agenda is working.”

The Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Arizona Association of Realtors, the Greater Phoenix Chamber, the Chandler Chamber of Commerce, and the Mesa Chamber of Commerce have also endorsed Governor Ducey.

Arizona's economy shows strong signs of progress over the last three years, like 240,000 new jobs added and over 300 companies relocating or expanding in Arizona, but we have more to do,” said Governor Ducey.

Our state is growing because of the hard work of employees, entrepreneurs, and businesses in towns like Gilbert. I'm honored to have their support as we work to build on the gains we've made,” Governor Ducey said.

Background Recent economic forecasts showed “Arizona's job growth is expected to outpace the nation over the next several years,” adding more than 540,000 new jobs by 2026. Another Arizona State University forecast shows Arizona's economy poised to continue growing, with “no recession risk in sight.”

With a growing economy, more new jobs, and record revenue this year, Arizona has invested $2.7 billion into K-12 education since 2015, and school districts across Arizona are providing teachers double-digit pay raises.
