EAST VALLEY BUSINESSES, CHAMBERS JOIN FORCES FOR LOCAL EXPO
Event to feature East Valley communities’ mayors, expert guest speaker
GILBERT – The 2011 East Valley Business Expo will bring together businesses from four communities to feature their products and services at what is expected to be the largest business-to-business and networking event of the year.
Organized by the Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, and Tempe Chambers of Commerce, the East Valley Business Expo will be held on Wednesday, October 5th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center, 201 N. Center St., in Mesa.
The mayors of each community will address attendees beginning at 3:00 p.m.
“The cities, the mayors, the business community are all working together to promote the East Valley as the best place in the United States to live, work, and play,” said Gilbert Mayor John Lewis. “I am looking forward to another opportunity to share with those attending the East Valley Business Expo why that is true.”
In addition, the event will feature workshops by professional trainer and motivator Stacy Stack on the topics of managing conflict in the workplace and a leader’s role in creating a fulfilling work environment.
According to Stack, workplace change is inevitable and impacts every business in today’s economic climate. Her workshops will help participants gain understanding of the common responses and barriers to change and effective behaviors for engaging and motivating employees to help the organization thrive.
Admission to the East Valley Business Expo is free and attendees will be entered to win gift cards, door prizes, and exhibitor/sponsor giveaways. Local restaurants will also be on site to provide samples of their most popular menu items. Exhibitor space is still available.
