Chamber Revamps Evening Networking Events To Benefit Non-Profits

CHAMBER REVAMPS EVENING NETWORKING EVENTS TO BENEFIT NON-PROFITS

Members to Raise Funds for Gilbert’s Sept.11 Memorial

GILBERT – The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce has restructured their evening networking events to benefit local non-profits while also highlighting their for-profit members in their new Connecting for a Cause networking series, sponsored by The Sign Guys.

“Giving back to the community is an important part of our corporate culture,” said Kelly Schager of The Sign Guys. “We have made so many great connections and relationships through the Gilbert Chamber and we are thrilled to team up with them to learn more about the ways we and other businesses can give back.”

The inaugural event will be a casino-themed evening to raise funds for the Sept. 11 memorial being constructed in Gilbert – a display that will permanently house a beam from World Trade Center Tower 1. The event will include a temporary display of this special beam. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets and win prizes, including an Apple iPad donated by SAM’s Club of Gilbert.

“It's important to honor and remember such a significant day in our country’s history,” said Schager. “We are honored to take part in the community efforts to come together and build a memorial that will help to educate our children and where we can reflect and remember.”

Connecting for a Cause, benefiting the Sept. 11 memorial, will be held on Thursday, August 4th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at House of Brews Neighborhood Sports Grill, 825 S. Cooper Road, in Gilbert. General admission is $25; Chamber member admission is $5 for early registration and $10 at the door.
