GILBERT – The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce has named Pam Nenaber, CEO of Banner Gateway Medical Center and Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center, as the 2011 Business Woman of the Year at an award ceremony and luncheon held today.
“Pam is a strong proponent for community involvement and encourages her staff to become engaged in their communities,” said JW Rayhons, Chairman of the Board of the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce and owner of Rayhons Financial Solutions in Gilbert.

Mayor John Lewis will share his year in review with members of the business community at the Mayor’s Annual State of the Town Address, a luncheon hosted by the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce on January 18th.
Mayor Lewis has embraced Arizona’s centennial celebration and has themed his address in keeping with the state’s milestone.
“It is a Centennial year, and so what better way to enjoy the 2012 ride than on ‘The Centennial Express’ State of the Town,” said Mayor John Lewis when asked about this year’s presentation to the Chamber. “The presentation will include several train stops featuring a review of 2011, our five strategic initiatives, and plans for 2012. All Aboard!”

Senator Andy Biggs along with Representatives Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Urie, of Arizona Legislative District 22, will address business leaders next week at a breakfast hosted by the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by SRP.
“It is important for local businesses to feel connected to and stay in contact with government leaders,” said Kathy Tilque, president and CEO of the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce. “We invite our district 22 legislators to a roundtable every year to allow for a positive exchange that is focused on the issues that are of priority to our business community.”

Gilbert’s business community will come together on December 1st to raise food and funds to benefit the United Food Bank at a unique networking event hosted by the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by The Sign Guys.
Last year, United Food Bank distributed 8,452 food boxes to at-risk children and families through their internal food box program and their Emergency Food Box provider agencies distributed more than 816,300 food boxes which assisted more than 1,500,000 people.
