The Gilbert Chamber of Commerce reported more than $520,000 in closed business between Chamber members during the organization’s third quarter and more than $2.2 million in closed business year-to-date. This report follows a previous fiscal year report of more than $1.4 million in closed business between July 2011 and June 2012.

San Tan Ford and the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce partnered to name April 2013 Drive It Home Month – a campaign to remind Gilbert residents about the importance of shopping locally and keeping tax dollars in our community. During the month, San Tan Ford pledged $100 to the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce for every car sold in support of the organization’s programs and services. This pledge resulted in a financial contribution exceeding $30,000.

Anthony Miles of Gilbert-based 4th Wall Productions, LLC has been awarded two bronze Telly Awards for his work on video production projects on behalf of the Shop Gilbert campaign and the Gilbert Chamber’s executive housing initiative.  For each project, Miles was named as a Bronze winner in the 34th Annual Telly Awards for cinematography and videography. To view the award-winning videos, visit www.shopgilbertaz.com and www.executivelivingaz.com.

Participants of Gilbert Leadership Class XXI dedicated their service project to the community at a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 1st. Class participates raised more than $16,000 to create an art mural painted on the south-facing wall of the American Legion Merrill Mitchell Post 39 and an open space improvement with park features in the once-vacant lot immediately south of the mural.
