Chamber Contract- the Chamber annually contracts with the Town's Economic Development Department to provide a visitor’s information center and conduct a customer service survey for businesses going through the permitting process. Results of the survey are shared with Town management on a quarterly basis. The contract is for $33,500. The Chamber's Board of Directors agreed to subsidize the visitor’s center in order to keep it open Monday through Friday as a service to the businesses and residents of the Town.

Industrial Design Guidelines- Allows businesses to know up front what type of standards the Town of Gilbert will expect while providing them an opportunity to provide rationale as to why something will not work with their particular project. These guidelines take into account both functionality and practicality from a business standpoint while not losing the integrity of Town standards. (The Chamber spent many hours meeting with Town staff to create a well-balanced set of guidelines that will result in businesses saving thousands of dollars in plans because they didn't have the information at the beginning of the process. The Chamber supported these guidelines.)

The Council voted to support the Water Tower Preservation Coalition request to :
- Designate the water tower site and two vacant parcels at the southeast corner of Page and Ash a town park.
- Approve the preliminary construction budget for the water tower site.
- Approve the conceptual site plan.
- Direct staff to complete a 2005 Heritage Fund grant application for the water tower site (which included their support to provide an additional $160,000 Capital Improvement Funds towards the project)
