These answers to some of our most frequently asked questions will help you make the most of your Chamber membership.
It's Your Chamber...Your CHOICE!
What is the CHOICES program?
Our CHOICES Program is based on four plans from which to choose. Each includes membership and a bundle of products and services that will help you get the most of your investment in the Gilbert Chamber of Commerce. It will be easier for you to understand and utilize what you receive with your membership. The value of each plan far exceeds the amount of your investment. In many cases, items you used to pay for on an individual basis will now come with your membership.
Why is the Gilbert Chamber changing its membership investment structure?
Our goal is simple: to improve the benefits, value and quality of service that members derive from their investment in Chamber membership. The Board of Directors agree this unique, cutting-edge investment system not only allows our members a choice, it also provides packages that will meet the needs of all of our members. It recognizes the diversity of our Membership ranging from small businesses to large corporations. During our research we also hosted focus groups with members to find out how they like the CHOICES Program. The results were extremely positive and validated the Board’s decision to move forward.
How do I choose a benefit level and change my account?
You will be asked to choose a benefit level by May 15th; you may enhance your benefit level upon your anniversary date or you may call the Chamber office at 480-892-0056.
Will I receive an invoice for my annual investment fee at the time I choose my new benefit level?
No, we will make changes to your account and you will begin receiving your new benefits and services immediately. We will invoice you upon your anniversary date.
Will I lose any services if I chose the Entrepreneur package?
All levels of members will be eligible for our new Chamber Member Benefit Package which offers additional healthcare benefits. The Entrepreneur package does not provide a free map and website link, and Entrepreneur members will receive an emailed newsletter instead of the printed copy. The Now Hiring section of our website (www.gilbertaz.com) was free to all members during our pilot program; it is now available to the Business, Corporate, and Premier levels.
Do I have to choose one of the benefit levels?
Yes, remember it is your CHOICE! In order for us to provide benefits and services fairly to all our members we need to place each member in one of the benefit levels and who knows better than you as to which level meets your needs!
What if I have more than one business location?
Again, it’s your CHOICE as to how you’d like each business placed in the membership levels You may want to have your main location take advantage of a higher level and the other locations be listed as the Entrepreneur level.
I am not sure if my company is a Chamber member. How do I find out?
Please search our online business directory. It is possible to search by business category, keyword or company name. You may also contact the Chamber at 480-892-0056 or info@gilbertchamber.com
Does who you know make a difference?
Who you know does make a difference! The Chamber hosts a variety of networking events for you to meet potential customers, business peers, and community leaders. Join us at monthly Gilbert NOW! Luncheons, special events, morning and evening mixers and don’t forget your business cards!
How do I receive referrals?
Let us do the talking about you! Residents and businesses alike call the Chamber for reliable information and referrals for services and products. We always refer these inquires to our Chamber members. Not to mention the web referrals you receive on our online business directory. You too can receive the endorsement and instant credibility that membership provides!
How do you market my business?
We can help you market your business! Lets start with the free marketing avenues provided with Chamber membership - free listing on the Chamber’s website, free link to your website, free listings in our Business Directory, announcement in our monthly newsletter. Even if you never attend an event or take advantage of our many other benefits you’ve already received $550 of marketing for the cost of membership. That’s not all - we also offer recognition through various special event sponsorships, door prizes, flyer inserts in our monthly newsletter, brochure boxes in our lobby, advertising in our directory and map.
Do you have a program that can save my company money on workers compensation?
Chamber membership and SCF of Arizona workers’ compensation insurance coverage translates into a 40-60% dividend at the end of each year. Put safety first in your company and rack up the savings at the same time!
I may need a little business assistance can you help?
Through our Business Resource Center access personal assistance for your business questions through SCORE counseling, SBDC counseling, professional Chamber staff support, and educational seminar opportunities. We’ve got the demographic information you need!
I'm looking for an organization that has clout and gets things done, what does the Chamber do?
The Chamber is the voice of business in the community. We’ll make a difference if you have a problem dealing with the government. We actively engage in protecting businesses from excessive taxation and regulation. You’ve got a business to run, we work hard to create a pro-business climate to make sure you can run your business and be successful doing so.
ALREADY A CHAMBER MEMBER FAQ
How do I update my online directory listing?
1.) Go to our members-only log-in page.
2.) Enter your member only id and password in the space provided and click "Submit." If you do not know your member id, e-mail us.
3.) You will see an online form with all your member information. Make the desired changes to this information "Submit." Changes will normally be visible and active on the web site within 2 business days.
Making changes using this method will ensure your information is updated in all our databases.
