Gilbert Leadership is a 10-month program that meets once a month to develop Leadership skills, via exposure to a variety of structured leadership curriculum that is part of each issue day. The students will learn a variety of information about Gilbert on a number of subjects including: Personal Development, History, Education, Government, Social Services and more. The class will also choose one service project to complete as a group that will benefit the community of Gilbert.
At the end of the program, members should come away with an enhanced understanding of self/others and community needs, a network of colleagues with a commitment to Gilbert community leadership and participation and new engagement with one or more leadership roles or improved performance in existing leadership efforts.
Gilbert Leadership requires participants to commit a MINIMUM of one full day per month during the ten months of the program, plus necessary time to develop and deliver a class project.
Applications must be complete for consideration and will be held in strict confidence.
The Mission of Gilbert Leadership is to increase citizen participation in the community by creating awareness of leadership opportunities and developing individual leadership skills
